Iraqi Kurdish leaders hold talks in London

The two main Iraqi Kurdish leaders have held discussions in London on ways to move a new peace agreement between them forward.

The agreement calls forelections in the Kurdish-administered part of northern Iraq next year.

Jalal Talabani of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and Massoud Barzani of the Kurdistan Democratic Party said their discussions were cordial and stressed the need for continuing humanitarian aid to the Kurds.

The two leaders met in Washington last month after sporadic fighting between their groups after the Gulf war.
