Blasts in Karachi

Two bombs exploded in the Pakistani city of Karachi, wounding several people and damaging property.

Police say a bomb exploded in an unoccupied police checkpost near the provincial legislature building while another went off later under a car nearby.

No group has so far admitted responsibility.

But officials believe the blasts could have been set off by feuding militant groups of the Muttaheda Qami Movement or the MQM.

Security has been tightened in Karachi following the blasts.
