The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)

Capacity: 100,000

The MCG is Australia's premier sporting venue and one of the world's most famous cricket grounds.

Doubling as a home to the Grand Finals, the climax of the Australian Rules football season, attendances can reach over 100,000 - with up to 50,000 in the Great Southern Stand alone.

Located a short distance east of Melbourne's business district the ground has a history over 100 years old.

The pitches at Melbourne used to be known as 'batsmen killers' but recently they have been ideal.

High scores are achievable but bowlers who are prepared to work are also rewarded.
