French police say they have seized their largest haul of the drug, cocaine, this year, after they intercepted a truck transporting polo ponies through central France.

The truck, which was travelling from the Netherlands through the Clermont-Ferrand region on its way to Spain, was reported to be carrying seventy-three kilogrammes of cocaine.

Two Argentines in the truck were detained.
