Brazilian jailed for shooting street kids

Officials in Brazil say a former civil servant was sentenced to fifty-four years in jail for murdering three street children in the south-eastern city of Belo Horizonte.

Police say the murderer kidnapped the boys two years ago and then shot them.

Their bodies were later found on the outskirts of the city.

Reports say the killer was identified by a witness to the shootings who escaped from the scene.
