Husband attacked over 'internet liaison'
Nualsee Barrow
Nualsee Barrow denies attempted murder
A woman stabbed her sleeping husband with a carving knife after he formed a relationship on the internet with a woman called the Ice Lady, a court heard.

Nualsee Barrow, 37, plunged a six-inch knife into husband Ian's neck and stabbed him in the shoulder and arm after he admitted to his online liaison.

Don Tait, prosecuting, told Winchester Crown Court that Mrs Barrow hid the carving knife in a chest of drawers in the bedroom and checked her husband was asleep before she launched the attack.

He said Mr Barrow, a 35-year old civil servant, became "infatuated" with Ice Lady - whose real name is Sheila Wellhouse - while spending long hours on the internet playing a game called Delta Force.

Mrs Barrow, who is originally from Thailand, denies the attempted murder of her husband at their Wiltshire home on 11 September 2001.

She has pleaded guilty to an alternative charge of wounding with intent.

The case continues.
