Real IRA bomb suspects in court
The Old Bailey, London
The men will return for a pre-trial hearing
Four men accused of bomb attacks in mainland Britain have appeared at the Old Bailey.

The Irish men, charged in connection with bombings which were linked to the Real IRA, made a brief appearance in court on Monday.

The offences relate to three incidents last year - a blast in Ealing, west London, a car bomb detonated outside the BBC headquarters in London and an unexploded car bomb discovered in Birmingham.

James McCormack, 33, is accused of causing three explosions.

Custody

Aiden Hulme, 25, faces a charge of conspiring to cause an explosion.

Noel Maguire, 32, is charged with causing two explosions and conspiring to cause an explosion.

And Robert Hulme, 22, is accused of conspiracy to cause an explosion, and possessing explosives and firearms.

They spoke only to confirm their names and were remanded in custody until a future pre-trial hearing, for which no date has yet been fixed.
