Stone attack on postal lorry
A postal worker has narrowly escaped injury in a stone-throwing attack on his lorry near Londonderry.

He was driving through the village of Drumahoe at about 0500 BST on Monday when stones smashed through his windscreen.

He lost control of the lorry and crashed into a traffic island.

The man is being treated in hospital for shock, but he escaped physical injury.

Meanwhile, two people have been arrested after a stolen tipper lorry was driven dangerously through Belfast on Sunday night.

Several vehicles - including two police cars - were damaged when the officers tried to stop the lorry.

Police were alerted to the stolen lorry in the Glen Road area of west Belfast.

The vehicle made its way to the westlink dual-carriageway, the M5 and citywards on the M2, before it was stopped by police driving the wrong way down the Sydenham by-pass.
