Man dies in road accident
A man has died in a car crash in County Down.

The accident happened on the A1 dual carriageway between Lisburn and Newry at Loughbrickland at about 0700 on Sunday morning.

It is not believed any other vehicle was involved in the accident in which the 27-year-old died.

Meanwhile, a man has suffered serious head and chest injuries in an accident in Belfast.

His car hit railings on the Sydenham by-pass at about 0900 BST on Sunday. No other cars were involved.

In a separate incident on Saturday, a 26-year-old man died and another man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a road accident near Castlewellan in County Down.

Their car left the Magheramayo Road and landed on its roof in a field at about 0300 BST.
