Hannah murder charge
Hannah was last seen alive in April 2001
A man is due in court on Monday charged with the murder of schoolgirl Hannah Williams, whose body was found at a cement works a year after she disappeared.
Robert Howard, 58, of Lions Close, Mottingham, south London, will appear before Medway Magistrates. He was charged with the killing on Saturday. Hannah's body was found by workmen at the Blue Circle works in Northfleet, Kent, in March this year. The 14-year-old was last seen alive at her home in Deptford, south London on 21 April 2001. Detectives had originally thought the badly-decomposed body might be that of missing Essex schoolgirl Danielle Jones. Fashion fan Hannah was well known among market traders in the Deptford area. She was last seen by her mother before going on a shopping trip. |
