Elements Nightclub, Bournemouth
Glen Hudson was shot in the head at close range
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a reveller in a Bournemouth nightclub.

Glen Hudson died from head wounds after the shooting incident in Elements nightclub five months ago.

On Thursday, Dorset Police revealed a 24-year-old man from London was being questioned about the incident.

Mr Hudson, a soldier from a Tidworth army base in Wiltshire, received his fatal injuries after a row broke out behind him in the early hours of 14 December, 2001.

Five search warrants have been executed by police in London as part of the ongoing investigation.

Mr Hudson, 35, was taken to Poole Hospital, but died the day after the incident.

The PT instructor lived with his regiment, the 1st Royal Horse Artillery, and had family in London.

Police described him as a gentle giant who was popular and outgoing.

Thousands of leaflets were handed out at pubs near the club in an effort to gather more information about the incident in the days after he was shot.

Radio One DJ Trevor Nelson had been hosting a MTV Lick party at the club in Fir Vale Road at the time.

Footage from CCTV cameras in a number of locations and MTV footage was examined as part of the investigation by 70 detectives.
