Indian Air Force fighter crashes

A Indian Air Force Jaguar fighter plane has crashed on take-off, killing the pilot.

The British-designed plane exploded when it collided with metal fencing at an air force base in Ambala in Haryana state.

The authorities say they are still investigating the cause of the crash.

It is the second such incident in a week - an Indian Air Force Mig-21 crashed into an office building on Friday.
