Teenager charged over baby snatch
Wordsley Hospital, Stourbridge
The baby was taken from Wordsley Hospital
An 18-year-old woman has been charged with kidnap after a baby girl was taken from a hospital in the West Midlands.

Elizabeth Rice, now three days old, was returned to her parents on Monday night, seven hours after being taken from the foot of her mother's bed.

The teenager, from the Pensnett area of Dudley, West Midlands is due to appear before Halesowen Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

A 27-year-old woman and two men aged 52 and 73 questioned by police have been released without charge.

Police found Elizabeth at a house in Dudley - about five miles from the hospital - following a tip-off from the public.

The girl, who is a twin, was found to be in good health and was immediately identified by her parents, Richard and Deanne.

Staff on maternity ward F4 at the Wordsley Hospital in Stourbridge reported the girl missing at 1340 BST.

The abduction was discovered when Deanne, 32, woke up to look at her daughters.
