Six die in Kashmir gunbattle
Indian officials say two of their soldiers and four suspected separatist militants have been killed in a gunbattle near the Line of Control in Kashmir.
The officials say the fighting started when a foot patrol spotted the group of separatists who had crossed from Pakistani into Indian-administered territory in Rajouri district on Tuesday night. India stepped up security on the line of control after it blamed Kashmiri separatist groups for the armed attack on the Indian parliament complex in December.
