Ulrika finishes book
Ulrika Johnsson
Ulrika Jonsson has had an interesting life
Ulrika Jonsson - at the centre of a media storm over her alleged relationship with England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson - has completed an autobiography, publishers Sidgwick & Jackson have revealed.

The 34-year-old Swedish television presenter is yet to decide on a title for the work.

Her publishers deny the book announcement is timed to coincide with the media interest over the alleged romance.

"The book evolved during a very difficult period in Ulrika's life," a spokesman for Sidgwick & Jackson said.

Offbeat personality

"Two years ago, to try to make sense of everything that was going on - receiving the news of her unborn child's rare heart condition, being suddenly single after Bo's birth and fearful of the traumas that would surely lie ahead for her family - she began to write things down."

The spokesman refused to say whether the book would include an account of the nature of her relationship with Eriksson.

But even without any material on Eriksson, Jonsson is no stranger to interesting times.

The former weather girl has built a successful television career as a slightly offbeat personality, featuring in conventional primetime television shows as well as BBC Two's Shooting Stars.

'Private'

She came within the media glare during her tempestuous relationship with footballer Stan Collymore.

Jonsson has a seven-year-old son from her failed marriage to a cameraman and is separated from the father of her one-year-old daughter Bo, who has undergone surgery for a heart defect.

Both Jonsson and Eriksson have refused to pander to the interest of the media so far.

"My private life is my private life," Eriksson told a press conference on Monday.

"I have never commented about my private life and do not intend to do so now."
