Monk's murder angers Bangladeshi Buddhists
The Buddhist community in Bangladesh has expressed outrage over the murder of a prominent monk in the southern district of Chittagong.

The monk, Ganojyoti Mohasthobir, was attacked and stabbed to death by more than 20 armed men on Monday.

Mr Mohasthobir was a well-known figure in the Chittagong area where he ran an orphanage.

Police say the motive for the killing is not clear, but it could relate to an extortion demand.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the killing but have not been charged.

A BBC correspondent says the killing is the latest in a series of high-profile murders in Bangladesh, many of which have remained unsolved.
