Banana workers killed in Colombia

Suspected rebels in Colombia have killed nine workers on a banana plantation near the border with Panama.

Officials said the workers were shot by armed men thought to be from the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, the FARC.

Correspondents say that FARC involvement could signify a push by the guerrillas back into the area, which is now under the control of right-wing paramilitaries.
