It's hard to believe that Petula Clark's career has spanned more than fifty years.

She started as a child singing to allied forces during World War 2 in more than 200 shows.

She is without doubt, one of Britain's most successful solo women singers.

There's hardly been a time when Pet hasn't been on stage, screen, television, or in the charts.

Her new album - The Ultimate Collection - came out last week.

New Album

The Ultimate Collection includes all her major hits from the fifties and sixties; Downtown, Don't Sleep in the Subway, I Couldn't Live Without Your Love, The Other Man's Grass is Always Greener as well as new recordings: Memories of Love and the haunting La Vie En Rose.

It's a double CD featuring 45 tracks in total.

To date, Pet has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide, had 28 hits in the UK and 15 top forty chart places in the US.

In May and June she is touring England, Ireland and Scotland playing 23 dates.
