Pakistan condemns alleged rape in Kashmir

Pakistan has condemned the alleged rape of a teenage Muslim girl by Indian security forces in Kashmir.

A statement from the Pakistani Foreign Ministry called for the culprits to be punished as an example to others.

The Indian authorities said three soldiers had been arrested and if found guilty, would be punished severely.

The Muslim teenager was allegedly raped by border guards in her village in Indian-controlled Kashmir.

India accuses Pakistan of supporting Islamic extremists in the region who are fighting against Delhi's rule.
