Police inquiry over body riddle
Crime scene
The dead man had no signs of being attacked
A mystery man who was found dead in a pub car park in Doncaster may have been murdered.

The dead man, believed to be aged between 35 and 50, was found in the car park of the Vine Pub in Kelham Street on the edge of the city centre.

A post-mortem examination was being carried out on the man on Saturday to establish a cause of death, South Yorkshire Police said.

The man was described as white, medium build with slightly receding short, brown hair.

Dawn find

He was wearing a black suit jacket, pink shirt with blue vest underneath, grey jeans and black shoes.

It is understood that there were no signs the man was the victim of a violent attack but the lack of identification on his body was causing police concern.

The body was discovered at 0520 BST on Saturday by a member of staff leaving the pub.

A police spokesman said: "It is not unusual for staff to be leaving at this time of the morning.

"We have not been able to establish his identity so his description is important as it may help someone recognise him."
