Police probe city death
Strathclyde Police HQ
Police have appealed for information
Police in Scotland are treating as suspicious the death of an eighteen-year-old man.

It follows an incident on Polmadie Road, in Glasgow, on the city's south side on Friday evening.

Strathclyde Police were called to the scene following reports that a man had been assaulted at around 2200 BST.

Robert McVey, of Croftend Ave, was taken to the city's Victoria Infirmary where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

An incident room has been set up and a post mortem examination will be carried out on Saturday.

Detective Inspector Les Darling, of Aikenhead Road CID, said: "Enquiries are at a very early stage, however I am particularly keen to speak to people who were in the vicinity of Polmadie Road and Richmond Park on the late evening of Friday."

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the incident room at Aikenhead Road by calling 0141 532 5063, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
