Peru building collapse kills 10

The authorities in Peru say at least 10 people were killed when a three-storey building collapsed in the southern city of Puno.

More than 30 other people were injured and rescue workers were searching the rubble for further victims.

Most of those killed were teenagers, who were studying for their university entry exams at a school operating in the building.

The authorities said that the excess weight of two floors, built on an adobe structure, could have contributed to the collapse.
