Vanished worker found dead
Trebarwith
Trudi Pearn's body was found at Trebarwith
Police have confirmed a woman's body washed up on the Cornish coast was that of a woman who disappeared on her way to work.

Trudi Pearn, 54, was last seen at lunchtime on 18 March as she left for work from her home in Camelford, north Cornwall.

Tracker dogs, coastguards, military personnel and members of her family subsequently helped 30 police officers search for her.

But the body found on Sunday at Trebarwith has been identified by Devon and Cornwall Police as Mrs Pearn's.

Missed lift

Detective Chief Inspector David Dunne said at the time of her disappearance that it was "a complete mystery to her husband and family".

Mrs Pearn usually walked 50 yards from her home to a bus stop where she got a lift with friends for the trip to her work at Roach Foods in Bodmin.

But she never arrived at the bus stop.

A post-mortem examination showed she had died from multiple injuries consistent with a fall.
