Man remanded on stab charges
A man has appeared before a court in County Londonderry on charges relating to an attack in which two people were stabbed.

Patrick Gibbons, 22, of Strand Road, Londonderry appeared before Limavady Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

He faces two charges of malicious wounding, one of making threats to kill and attempting to hijack a car.

The charges relate to an incident in which a 42-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy were stabbed in Derry on Monday.

A detective constable said the accused made no reply when charged.

Mr Gibbons was remanded in custody to appear before Londonderry Magistrates Court on 25 April.
