Disabled man in 'terrifying' kidnap
Northamptonshire Police have released descriptions of the three attackers
Northamptionshire Police are appealing for witnesses
Three kidnappers snatched a disabled man off a Northamptonshire street before taking him on a high-speed drive around the county.

The attack took place as the unnamed victim left a friend's house in Wellingborough.

A man and two youths lured the 35-year-old victim into a car before driving him through the town.

They threatened to kill him and stole his wallet, mobile phone and keys in what police have called a "terrifying ordeal."

Death threats

Northampton Police said the victim was walking along Ridgeway in Wellingborough on Saturday evening when he was offered a lift by the assailants.

The victim got into the rear passenger seat, before being taken to an industrial estate, where the driver stopped and told him to get out of the car.

There was a struggle before the disabled man's wallet was taken and the trio threatened to kill him.

He was pushed back into the car and taken to a cashpoint where he was ordered to hand over his card and security number.

However there was no money in his account.

The victim managed to escape from the car but he was assaulted again.

Head injuries

The man, who has suffered from minor disabilities since a serious accident in his youth, was treated in hospital for minor head injuries.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the kidnap.

The driver of the car, was described as in his twenties, white, 5ft 7in, with short dark spiky hair and wearing dark blue jeans.

The first youth was said to be of mixed race, around 16 or 17, of medium build, with a small flat nose and small lips.

He was wearing a white hooded fleece top, dark blue baggy Wrangler jeans tucked into white socks and white Reebok trainers.

The second youth was described as black, around 15 years old and skinny, wearing a white hooded fleece, black trousers and white Fila trainers.
