Man charged with stabbings
Guildhall Square
The armed man was chased into Guildhall Square
A 22-year-old man has been charged in connection with the stabbing of a woman and a teenager in Londonderry.

He is expected to appear at Limavady Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

The charge follows an incident on Monday night when a man was overpowered by a taxi driver and a group of teenagers who came to the woman's aid.

She was attacked in Foyle Street.

The teenage boy was getting off a bus in the city when he saw the woman being attacked.

The 42-year-old woman was sitting in a parked car when a man approached her.

Both the teenager and the woman were taken to the city's Altnagelvin Hospital where they were discharged after treatment for knife wounds.
