Death of the Queen Mother
Royal advisers will meet today to begin to finalise the details of the Queen Mother's funeral.

This afternoon her body is likely to be moved to the Royal Chapel at Windsor where members of the Royal family will pay their respects.

From there it will go to the Queen's chapel at St James' Palace and then be moved to Westminster Hall.

There it will lie in state before the funeral service at Westminster Abbey. Prince Charles and his sons have cut short their skiing holiday and will travel home this morning.

Prince Charles is said to want to go straight to Windsor to join the rest of the royal family.

The Duke of York has also curtailed his family holiday in the Caribbean and is on his way back to London.

Books of condolence will open at sites across the United Kingdom.

Parliament will be recalled on Wednesday for MPs to pay their tributes.
