Israeli forces have been fighting fierce street battles with Palestinian gunmen in Ramallah, where Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat remains trapped in his ruined headquarters.
Israeli forces control of most of the city, and are rounding up Palestinian suspects.
Arafat is isolated in his headquarters, without water or power
Israeli forces rounded up about 60 gunmen in the compound
In the city centre Palestinians surrendered after all-night clashes
Many were detained in house-to-house searches
At least 30 Palestinians were wounded
On Friday, shellfire lit up Arafat's compound
Tanks smashed through the perimeter wall of the compound
