Search teams trace girl
Police car
The girl had taken a dog out for a walk in the night
A search for a 13 year-old girl who was reported missing in the Scottish Highlands has been called off after she was found safe and well.

Natalie Taylor, from London, had failed to return after taking a dog for a walk in Grantown-on-Spey, Morayshire, before 0300 GMT on Friday.

An initial search failed to find any trace of the girl and officers resumed their efforts at daylight.

Northern Constabulary announced at 1000 GMT on Friday that the teenager had been found and was unharmed.

The teenager has been staying with friends in Grantown-on-Spey.

The crew of a Royal Air Force rescue helicopter who were about to take off to join in the search were stood down.
