Hindus killed in Kashmir
Tension between India and Pakistan has affected civilians
Suspected militants have killed at least six Hindus in a remote mountainous area in the district of Poonch in Indian-administered Kashmir, police said.
Militants attacked two houses in village Magnar on Monday night.
Four Hindus were killed on Sunday in the same area. Locals people say there was less security than usual in the area because Indian army soldiers deployed there had been moved out to deal with the escalating tension with neighbour Pakistan. Hindus are in a minority in the state which is dominated by Muslims. Militant raid Meanwhile, two Indian soldiers were killed in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh when militants raided an army camp. Four others were injured in the attack. Officials said unidentified militants opened fire on soldiers who were preparing a firing range for target practice. The attackers managed to escape in the nearby forests, they said. Soldiers have launched a search operation in the area.
