Snow playtime for wallabies
Wallabies
It is the second winter in England for Blair and Bush
Prime Minister Tony Blair may have enjoyed the sun on his recent visit to the Pyramids, but a wallaby called Blair, and his mate Bush, are throughly enjoying the snow in Northumberland.

The two wallabies have been a permanent feature at White House Farm Visitor Centre in Morpeth, Northumberland, for two months.

On Monday the fawn-grey coloured animals were clearly enjoying the snow.

The wallabies, which are no strangers to cold conditions, are housed in a purpose-built pen which is 6 feet (1.83 metres) high.

Wallabies
The wallabies are just under three-feet tall

This is their second winter in England after they were hand reared by Morpeth vet John Prescott , who has a passion for breeding unusual animals.

Centre manager Donald Slater said: "The snow doesn't seem to be affecting them. They play about all the time.

"They are quite a visitor attraction as wallabies are not something you usually find in the UK and you don't find them on a farm.

"We found it a bit quirky calling them Bush and Blair because just after that the real Bush and Blair seemed to be bouncing about all over the place."
