Burnt body found by driver
Police in Greater Manchester say they are not treating the death of a man whose burnt body was discovered by a passing motorist as suspicious.

The driver was travelling through Stockport when he saw the body.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "It is unlikely that we will ever be able to say for sure whether his death was accidental or suicide.

An accelerant, probably petrol, was used.

Emergency services were called to New Zealand Road in Offerton at 0115 GMT on Sunday.

The man is described as between 20 and 40 years old and is about six feet (1.83 metres) tall.

Detectives say they are waiting forensic tests before confirming the identity of the man.
