Colombian police seize forged dollars
Police in Colombia say they have seized $41m in false American dollar bills.
They say the forged notes, which were seized from a house in the capital, Bogota, were about to be sent out of the country. But Colombian police say no one was arrested and they are still searching for the plant where the money was made. Correspondents say Colombia has become the world's largest producer of forged dollar bills - and that they are noted for their good quality. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
