Picture gallery: The big freeze
The UK shivered over the weekend as temperatures plummeted and ice and snow came to parts of the country.

Tulloch Bridge in the Scottish Highlands recorded the lowest temperature, reaching -12°C at 0600 GMT on Monday.

The bad weather was welcomed by children who took the opportunity to take to their sledges and make snowmen.
