Picture gallery: Buffalo's snow days
The national guard has been called in after five consecutive days of snow left the city of Buffalo in New York State struggling under nearly seven feet of snow.
A state of emergency has been declared in the area, highways have been shut and driving banned in the city and surrounding suburbs.
