Pakistan airline granted more India flights

The Indian government has given the Pakistan national airline PIA permission to make two more flights to evacuate its nationals stranded in India.

A ban on commercial use of each other's airspace came into force today as part of tit-for-tat sanctions imposed by both countries following the attack on the Indian parliament last month.

A spokesman for Pakistan International Airlines said hundreds of Indian and Pakistani travellers had been unable to get seats on the last scheduled flights on Monday.
