Dr Dre settles lawsuit Rapper Dr Dre has settled two lawsuits against the cities of Detroit and Auburn Hills in the US. The rapper accused the cities and their officials of censorship by threatening to arrest him and organisers if he played a sexually explicit video at a concert in July 2000. Greg Bowens, mayoral spokesman for Detroit, said the settlement (Detroit will pay $25,000, and Auburn Hills $28,000) was nowhere near the multimillion-dollar award sought and the city was not admitting guilt.
