Police identify rail bridge body
Gloucestershire Police
Police have identified a man whose body was found under a bridge in Gloucester.

But they say they still do not know what led to his death.

The body is that of a 43-year-old man from the St Paul's area of the city.

He was last seen alive four days before the discovery in a railway storage yard on Tuesday morning.

Police said his name would be released once relatives were informed.

Joint inquiry

A section of footpath over the Metz Way bridge in Gloucester was closed after the body was found by a rail worker.

Gloucestershire Police are holding a joint inquiry with British Transport Police.

They have repeated an appeal for information from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area.
