France asks Libya to join terror coalition
A French government minister, Charles Josselin, has made the first official visit to Libya by a French government official for nearly 10 years. He has been trying to gain Tripoli's backing for the US-led campaign against terrorism. Mr Josselin added that trade links were also high on the agenda. Later on Tuesday Mr Josselin is going to Sudan for talks with government officials. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
