France asks Libya to join terror coalition

A French government minister, Charles Josselin, has made the first official visit to Libya by a French government official for nearly 10 years.

He has been trying to gain Tripoli's backing for the US-led campaign against terrorism.

Mr Josselin added that trade links were also high on the agenda.

Later on Tuesday Mr Josselin is going to Sudan for talks with government officials.
