| People have been fleeing in droves during various phases of the Afghanistan civil war, which began with the Soviet invasion 23 years ago. Millions are already in camps in Pakistan and Iran. Others try to make the perilous journey further afield. The BBC's Nick Thorpe has been meeting one group of Afghan asylum seekers in Hungary.
