Desperate refugees press into Pakistan
Pakistan officials said 10,000 to 15,000 people are caught at the border at Chaman in south eastern Afghanistan, after a sudden surge of refugees apparently fleeing US-led attacks. Pakistan has so far refused to open the border, forcing refugees to wait in a 200-metre strip of no-man's-land between the two countries. But in a sign of increasing desperation, several hundred refugees fought their way past border guards on Monday, crossing into Pakistan territory. The BBC's Clive Myrie reports from Peshawar.
