Family hopes for fresh inquest
High Court, London
The High Court's decision is expected on Monday
A Coventry mother is expected to hear on Monday whether there will be a fresh inquest into the death of her son.

Leon Marshall, 24, died of a drugs overdose after he collapsed in police custody two years ago.

He had swallowed a large amount of crack cocaine.

In March, an inquest jury returned a verdict of accidental death.

Mr Marshall's family were unhappy with the verdict and appealed to the High Court.

Mr Marshall's mother, Jean, called for the verdict to be quashed and a new inquest held.

Her legal team claims the coroner made an error when he directed the jury on the possibility that neglect played a part in the death.

The High Court is expected to rule on Monday whether a second inquest should be eld.
