Malaysian police find body in Borneo

Malaysian police say they have found the skeletal remains of a man in a Borneo nature sanctuary where a German tourist and his local guide have been missing since late August.

Police had been combing the densely-forested sanctuary in Sandakan on the northern tip of Borneo in their search for the German student, Arne Lennart Cornelius.

Mr Cornelius and the guide had been reported missing since 30 August.

Police officials said they could not confirm the identity of the body.

They said a post mortem would be held later this week.
