Jerusalem and Washington diaries
Bayer Ciprobay antibiotics
Bayer Ciprobay antibiotics, used to treat anthrax
Are the lives of ordinary Americans and Israelis really 'never going to be the same again' as their leaders say? Have a listen to these contributors' diaries.

Only today, the US Vice-President, Dick Cheney, declared that life would not be the same again - at least not for a generation. And, following last week's assassination of an Israeli cabinet minister, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon sought to draw parallels with the American experience.

But how are non-politicians adapting to this new mantra? Are ordinary people in their daily lives also feeling the shifts?

We asked two women whose lives have changed, Judith Ben Susan who lives in Jerusalem and has worked in the offices of the Knesset, and Anne Linsky, who currently works in the office of a congressman on Capitol Hill, to reflect on recent events in their countries.
