Raid uncovers 300 weapons
A Devon couple have appeared in court after more than 300 firearms were discovered in a house.
Michael Lee, 56, and his 39-year-old wife Caroline, were arrested after weapons were found at a house in St Mary's Road, Teignmouth, south Devon, on Thursday. Officers found a collection of pistols, Israeli Uzi sub-machine guns and rifles, some of which were deactivated. Devon and Cornwall police said there was no evidence to suggest the guns were linked to terrorist activity in the UK. The weapons are now being made safe. The couple, who have been charged with possession of firearms, were remanded to appear at Torbay Magistrates Court on 23 October.
