Man on murder charge
The stabbing happened at a house in Ballygowan
A 30-year-old man is expected to appear at a special court in County Down on Sunday charged with murder.
It is understood the charge relates to the stabbing of a man at a house in Ballygowan on Friday night. Joseph McQuade, 59, died after the incident on the Magherascouse Road in the village. The attack is not thought to have been sectarian. Police are appealing for anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area on Friday night to come forward.
