Police find 300 firearms in house
Police say the arsenal included a Walther PPK pistol
Two people have been arrested by police after more than 300 firearms were found at a house in Devon.
The discovery was made at an address in St Mary's Road, Teignmouth on Thursday after a firearms warrant was executed. Scenes-of-crime officers and members of the Devon and Cornwall police Tactical Aid Group all attended. The arsenal is understood to include Uzi sub-machine guns, a Walther PPK pistol and weapons from World War Two. Police say they are not linking the find to terrorist activities. Officers said some of the firearms had been deactivated. A 40-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man have been arrested and are being questioned by officers at Torquay Police Station. Officers were continuing to make inquiries and were examining the house on Friday.
