Killing in front of pregnant wife
New Scotland Yard
Police believe the man died in a failed robbery
A man has been shot dead at point blank range in front of his pregnant wife.

Sean Garfield Fray, 36, was shot in the head at his home in Lonsdale Avenue, East Ham, east London.

Detectives believe three men were involved in the killing which took place at 1930 BST on Tuesday.

And they believe the motive was probably robbery.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said the killer had a shotgun and the two others carried handguns.

He said: "We believe three black men aged between 20 and 30, were involved in the incident at the house.

"Mr Fray's wife, who is 22 weeks pregnant, was at home at the time and witnessed her husband's murder."

He added: "If it assists our appeal Mr Fray was also black."

The killers ran from the house after the murder.

An incident room has been set up at Edmonton police station under Detective Chief Inspector Vic Rae.
