US offers $1m anthrax reward
More US anthrax cases have caused alarm
America continues to be on anthrax alert tonight, with the federal government offering a $1m reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for mailing anthrax.
Meanwhile, it emerges that another TV network has been hit - a British woman who works for the CBS News anchor Dan Rather in New York has tested positive for skin anthrax. US senator Mike DeWine from Ohio, tells us he did not feel under attack, and for most politicians life goes on. In Britain, Tony Blair says that the next few weeks will be the most testing time for the military campaign. Targets have been attacked, during the latest daylight raids, in Kabul, Kandahar and Jalalabad. One news agency reported that at least six civilians, including five members of one family, were killed in Kabul when bombs fell onto a residential street. In Northern Alliance-held territory there has been sporadic fighting, but according to PM reporter Ian Pannell, most fighters are whiling away the days watching and waiting for something to happen.
