True History of the Kelly Gang: Your views
Peter Carey is exhilerated by his second win
Peter Carey wins the Booker prize for a second time
Australian novelist Peter Carey's fictionalised memoirs of outlaw and Australian folk hero Ned Kelly won the prestigious Booker Prize 2001.

It is the second time the 58-year-old has won the award, having first been given the prize in 1988 for Oscar and Lucinda.

True History of the Kelly Gang is written in the form of Ned Kelly's diary, in an uneducated and often unpunctuated writing style.

"Carey has created a vivid depiction of Kelly's world, with thunderous dramatic pace, simple, yet powerful images, and tough characters," wrote BBC News Online's Jackie Finlay.

But what do you think?

Is the book a worthy winner? Is Ned Kelly a convincing narrator?
